Solved: Outlook 2013 immediately closes after Windows 10 upgrade

So ran into this problem that after upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7 Outlook 2013 wouldn’t start anymore. 

Weirdly sadly. When starting Outlook – it starts, but after 2 seconds immediately disappears right when it should start syncing folders. No error message, no nothing. 

How do I investigate? Of course dig into the event viewer to see if any traces of the problem are left behind. And there were – well could you have guessed it before? 

There was a problem with phone companion app right when I was trying to run Outlook. 

It said that phone companion has failed to activate with an error – the specified module could not be found. 
I read from another forum that problems with Apple software might cause Outlook not to start – removed them first – but no help. 
After Uninstalling Phone Companion Outlook started with no problems and asked for activation license key. 
Uninstall phone companion by right clicking the Phone companion icon in Start -> All apps.
Try running outlook again. This solved it for me.
